Working to offer the excellence of a Michigan Public Health education to more students, regardless of where they are physically or in their lives. Through this online program, I'm reaching a wider and more diverse audience than ever before!

I look out for all students and postdocs who are training in Pharmacology, or who aspire to do so. It includes everything from getting them here in lab, to counseling on educational and life events, to following them throughout their careers. I get to tackle educational policies and programming, community building, climate steering, and serve on many of our committees.

GRADUATE AND POSTDOCTORAL STUDIES RECRUITMENT & ADMISSIONS DIRECTOR (July 2013 - August 2015)I oversaw graduate student recruitment and admissions for PIBS, the first-year gateway program to 14 PhD-granting programs and 500 faculty mentors. We canvassed the country for top prospects, evaluated an average of 900 applications per year, conducted 200 in-person and 50 remote interviews, and ultimately enrolled 85 highly qualified scientists.Within this role, I focused on three core competencies: (1) developing key relationships locally and nationally to build a pipeline and manage enrollments, (2) understanding the holistic needs of contemporary college students to provide appropriate programming, and (3) producing high-quality digital marketing collateral to represent U-M. RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR AND POSTDOC OFFICE MANAGER (April 2009 - June 2013)I was responsible for coordinating initiatives including marketing, recruitment, orientation and on-boarding, career development, and networking, as well as advising trainees, and resolving conflicts.I discovered my passion for recruitment when I volunteered to organize PIBS Preview, a three-day event on U-M's campus designed to support historically underrepresented and underserved students in their graduate program search. Preview was such a success that I soon became the face of the program, the lead event planner, and the go-to person for revising inefficient processes, which ultimately led to my appointment as the Admissions & Recruitment Director.

As a Graphic Artist for the U-M School of Dentistry, I produced artwork and design themes for websites, videos, newsletters, and presentations. I worked with the Director of Dental Informatics to determine the digital media needs of the School, and managed client projects from concept through proofing and delivery.
