I started Rescue Your Photos to combine my love of photography and design with my passion for helping others preserve their visual legacies.My first organizing project was 60+ boxes of six generations’ worth of our family's photos. I organized, archived, digitized and then produced a coffee table book filled with my family’s extensive history. • Managed an award-winning, 8-member department of artists and graphic designers, holding full responsibility for team leadership and staff development, in addition to business budgets and performance reporting.• Coordinated coverage of national disasters, citywide events, and other notable news, in addition to overseeing development and production of special sections.• Directed design and graphics for 250+ pages each week, managing a high-volume department, and working closely with editors and photographers outside of the department to produce engaging, branded, and award-winning pieces.• Created an internship program to bring talented students to the newspaper from local and state universities, providing a biannual infusion of support.• Recruited, hired, trained, and retained top talent, conducting national searches for the highest caliber of talent to drive performance results.
