Managed several high-profile web projects involving user-centered design, user research, information architecture, technology selection, and technical implementation. ● Oversaw an 18 person team comprised of Business Analysts, Information Architects, Front-End and Back-End Developers, and a Configuration Manager responsible for large scale redesigns, and operations and maintenance of 3 public sites and 2 Intranets. ● Managed the development of a .NET online application through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). Integrated with online payment services, photo validation application and numerous back-end systems. ● Responsible for all reporting requirements including budget, risk and issue management, and status reports. Presented regularly to senior level management. ● Ensured websites met Federal and Department guidelines including Section 508 regulations and the Plain Language Act.● Managed the redesign of travel.state.gov, one of the State Department’s most visited websites, studentsabroad.state.gov and adoptions.state.gov through the design phase. I wrote more than 150 grant proposals and 50 reports for various foundations, corporations, and other funders during my time with this organization, and I additionally participated in the Web design steering group and helped maintain the donor database.
