I specialize in teaching decoding, reading comprehension, and writing classes, catering to students across different grade levels. My expertise extends to developing comprehensive reading curricula and lessons that integrate evidence-based practices to foster effective learning. I am adept at utilizing educational technology tools and platforms to elevate reading instruction and promote digital literacy among students. Additionally, I consult and collaborate with parents, staff, and service providers to ensure students with disabilities receive an excellent and equitable education. Through the use of initial, triennial, and informal assessments, I identify individual student needs and tailor instruction accordingly. I prioritize transparent communication with parents and team members, providing regular updates on student progress and offering recommendations for home-based methods and materials to support continued learning.

Demonstrated a commitment to educational excellence by developing, adapting, and modifying general education curricula to meet the diverse needs of students. I wrote all student's Individualized Education Plans and led their meetings. I coordinated and administered Tier 2-3 Response to Intervention reading groups, managing the Response to Intervention reading program effectively. Additionally, I designed and developed formative assessments tailored for students with disabilities, ensuring equitable learning opportunities for all. Recognizing the importance of ongoing professional development, I provided comprehensive training sessions for educators, focusing on areas such as reading instruction, English language learning, inclusion, Special Education law, and accessibility. As part of my commitment to inclusivity, I co-founded the Best Buddies club, aiming to cultivate meaningful peer relationships for students with disabilities.
