I had the privilege to work with an amazing group of people whose goal it is to make boating/sailing available to anyone. We have worked with individuals and groups with challenges including ALS, blind, cognitive and at-risk. It's incredible to watch them overcome their challenges and have an experience to last a lifetime.The 2018 Para World Sailing Championship was the largest regatta for disabled sailors hosted in Sheboygan County. My role in coordinating of this event include sponsorship, registration, accounting, direct communication with World Sailing staff in London, event liaison with all competitors/coaches/sponsors/volunteers/officials, special event planning (open & closing ceremonies, volunteer & sponsor night, fundraiser Brats4Sail). Was also responsible in coordinating the 2016 World Sailing Blind Match Racing Championship and the Women's Match Racing Championship and the 2017 Blind Fleet North American Championship and Blind Fleet World Sailing Championship.My duties include accounting, event planning, grant writing, design work, website and more.
