Our community needed unique family and parenting support during the COVID pandemic that was different than anything created before. It had to be virtual AND filled with fun and personal touches.I created a 7 week curriculum for parents and kids delivered via email with weekly office hours on Zoom. The program's goal was to provide easy ways for families to connect and have fun together, reduce stress and prevent substance abuse.In addition, we delivered a physical weekly "box of good" to families with a meal, board game and all the materials needed for the short family connection activity that week. Participants had a private weekly check in with a parent educator over Zoom.
