I have spent 15+ years in the food service industry including front of house and back of house management and catering and am currently a catering supervisor for Metz Culinary Management at UT Southern, but I am working toward a career in the IT field. I have a great interest in software development.In February of 2022, I decided it was time to pursue a degree in Information Technology. I am currently studying computer information systems and cybersecurity at DeVry University, which has included skill-building courses involving Python, Java, C++, and SQL, Some of my favorite projects I have completed include building a smart home security system using Tinkercad and Arduino IDE, building a traffic light controller with crosswalk/emergency buttons and a motion sensor, and creating a GUI application with Apache Netbeans.I love a good challenge, and I think there's always room to grow. Give me a task, challenge me a bit, and I'll use my creativity to come up with the best solution.I really love designing GUI applications and tweaking codes to make simple, easy to use applications and software.
