I create content to guide parents and teachers of gifted children through the educational system and to understand the attributes of giftedness as well as advocate for all gifted/high ability children. I respond to comments and requests for information to assist parents advocating for their children's educational needs.My graphics are created with Photoshop Elements to enhance both appearance and content in strict adherence to Creative Commons licensing.

Each week, I prepare an hour-long weekly chat on Twitter concerning the latest developments in gifted education. My ability to drive awareness, engagement, affinity and advocacy has led to over 1.1k dedicated tweets and 1 - 1.5 million impressions weekly. I research topics, create polls; schedule guests; generate questions; provide transcripts; write weekly blog posts; and monitor the #gtchat hashtag. As community manager, I compile statistics, develop reports, and identify trending topics. This is a fast paced job which requires attention to detail and the ability to build solid relationships with all stakeholders; parents, educators and professionals in the field. Additional responsibilities include presenting and conducting live Twitter chats at TAGT's Annual Conference.

I was appointed to PECAB Board in October 2013 and re-appointed in 2015. Responsibilities included attending Annual Board meetings, monthly meetings via teleconferencing, editorial review of NAGC's magazine Parenting for High Potential, and assisting with redesign of NAGC website.

The network provided an environment for discussion and debate; an opportunity for the sharing of expertise, ideas, and research; routes for acquiring advice and guidance; support to tackle disadvantage and inequity; and scope for campaigning and advocacy.

After working as a long-term substitute for 5 years was hired full-time as a paraeducator in Special Education for 7 years. Worked with a high degree of respect for student privacy. I returned to substitute teaching in the Fall of 2015.
