Occupational Awards Limited (OAL) is a recognised awarding organisation and apprentice assessment organisation approved to provide qualifications and apprentice end-point assessment. At OAL I was responsible for building OAL from the ground up. Amongst other things I instigated and managed the notoriously complex and challenging Ofqual approval process to ensure that OAL gained status as a recognised Awarding Organisation.I held a pivotal Senior Management position in Operations and Quality at OAL. I took the strategic lead on product portfolio, engagement and strategic objectives for all activity with furniture and related industries. As well as managing qualification development and quality arrangements across the business.I have an incredible CV and a strong reputation particularly within the furniture and wood industries. I have more than 18 years’ experience in the design, development and delivery of qualifications. I have been working closely with employers, trade bodies and stakeholders in the furniture, wood and related industries for over 10 years

I am responsible for the day to running of Occupational Awards and managing the successful development and design of qualifications.

I have been working on standards, qualifications and apprenticeship development projects for over 16 years. I work closely with training providers to support the delivery and implementation of qualifications and apprenticeships. I am responsible for the day to running of and managing the successful development and design of qualifications.

Working with the Furniture and Wood Industries to develop a Skils Action Plan, ensure provision of qualifications and training and providing secretariat to the Employer Boards.
