As an librarian at Canton Public Library, I have been delivering engaging and educational programs and services to patrons of all ages and abilities for five years, though I have worked in one capacity at the library for over nine years. I have a Master of Library and Information Science degree and a passion for connecting people with information and resources that enrich their lives and foster lifelong learning.My core competencies include accessibility and inclusion (namely neurodiversity and ID/DD), serving diverse populations, STEAM programming, book clubs, storytime, ordering physical and digital collections, and managing web content creation. I also have experience in essential HR, Quickbooks, and back-of-house operations as an Office Manager at Rusty Nail Lounge, where I have been working part-time since 2004. I am a team player, a creative thinker, and a continuous learner who strives to provide excellent customer service and enhance the library's role in the community. As a member of the Michigan Alliance for Cultural Accessibility, I also have had the pleasure of learning from and even presenting to other professionals in cultural institutions who have an interest or experience with accessibility for staff and the communities they serve.
