Update (June 2014): After my 6 month temporary retirement, I recently accepted an offer with Oakland County IT as a Service Desk Analyst, supporting IS and IT infrastructure, equipment, and architecture for government, law enforcement, judicial, and web facing users across multiple counties, agencies, and municipalities.---------------------------------------------------Update (Feb 2014): I recently relocated to Michigan (Detroit metro area), after CEC chose to outsource the technical support department to the Philippines. I am currently enjoying my hiatus from the working world, but I do welcome any opportunities in the Detroit metro area that may arise.---------------------------------------------------I've been with CEC since Jan 2005. I started with CTU Online in Student Accounts, then transferred over to the Bookstore (Words of Wisdom); stayed there for a year, until the tech support position that I wanted all along became available. In November 2006, I transferred to tech support, and found my niche. After a year or so at Tier I, I was promoted to Tier II. I love my job, my co-workers, and the students/faculty I work with. This is by far the best job I've ever had, and the only way I would leave would be if I moved over to the Networking, App Support, or Web Support side; either way, I plan to stay within the IT industry, even though I have a degree in HR Management to fall back on.
