My day to day responsibilities included:• Overall leadership in planning, organizing, and directing activities that support insurance follow-up, denial management, cash application and refund processes.• Monitor staff productivity, quality, and efficiency to ensure financial and collection metrics are achieved. Identified opportunities to enhance RCM functions to improve cash flow, reduce days in accounts receivable, minimize write offs, and decrease denials.• Direct accountability for managing the Central Business Office• Direct day to day operations of the payer team for billing, denial management, appeals, follow-up team and auditors.• Analyze Change Health Claims master billing reports and A/R to identify trends, determine root causes, and develops action plans to reduce denials, control write offs, and expedite cash flow.• Ensure 835/ERA payment files, and patient payments are processed timely.• Follow government, payer, and patient refund requirements to assure insurance and patient refunds are processed correctly and timely.• Monitor financial objectives in collaboration with the Director of RCM.• Assist RCM Director with implementing new technologies that expedite receivables and enhance workflow. • Interview and train new hires and assist staff with professional development.• Collaborate efforts with Director of RCM to develop and implement training manuals, PSPs and Quick Reference Guides.
