SARASOTA SUNCOAST ACADEMY-ESE/ESOL/Gifted Liaison & 504 CoordinatorI was excited to take on a new challenge and work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and administrators to help struggling students get the help they needed to be successful in school. Drawn to work here when I found out about the school philosophy toward looking at the whole child, responsive classroom approach, and putting each student’s social-emotional needs first. Making a positive impact on academic and social learning by qualifying them into the right programs. HIGHLIGHTSHelping grow school revenue to $1M+ while serving as the member of administrative team entrusted with making decisions on ESE admissions.Improving process of developing and continuously improving Individualized Education Programs (IEPs):Increasing productivity by consolidating, integrating, and streamlining multiple tasks and sub-processes; Writing IEPs after creating and sending teachers a new questionnaire and synthesizing report information from other professionals, such as school psychologist;Training new Exceptional Student Education (ESE) liaison on all processes and procedures; andLeading the annual meetings attended by teachers, parents, and administrators, which determines student eligibility, accommodations, and funding.Creating, measuring progress towards, and refined goals with proficiency and by advancing the skills of colleagues in use of SIS and ENRICH software.Chosen to attend district meetings to get and convey new State Dept. of Ed. funding and compliance information.Role required:Active Listening, Adaptive Planning, Agile & Growth Mindset, Collaboration, Communication, Continuous Process Improvement, Critical Thinking, Data Analysis, Documentation, Meeting Facilitation, Project Management, Relationship Building, Stakeholder Management, Team Building, Training
