“A possibility was born the day you were born, and it will live as long as you live.” – Marcus Solero –Many people in our community, however, do not have access to the tools they need to achieve their full potential. I work to empower and educate under-resourced youth, girls, and women so that they can fully realize their potential.I do this by improving the productivity of organizations so they can deliver on their mission more effectively. I manage complex projects with ease, creating systems that help teams do their work more efficiently. I've built relationships with board members, funders, and staff, using my understanding of their needs to shape visioning and strategic planning, and then leading the implementation of key strategic initiatives. To do this, I rely on the skills I’ve built over 17 years in nonprofit fundraising, operations, and program management. Most recently I was Development and Operations Director at Open Arms Perinatal Services, where I designed systems that allowed us to double our staff size, office space, and revenue, including identifying and implementing changes to our annual fundraising auction which increased revenue by over 300%.I started my career as a teacher, preparing marginalized students for careers in technology, math and science. I still love teaching and math, especially analyzing data to pinpoint ways to strengthen and streamline program operations. My favorite day of the year is March 14, “Pi Day,” because it’s the best day of the year to celebrate BOTH my love of math and my obsession with learning to bake the perfect pie.Contact me at lisamfoss206@gmail.com if you need an experienced, organized nonprofit professional who can manage projects and design systems, so you can more effectively deliver on your mission.
