I started out as a theater kid, who pursued stage management (the person who coordinates the various people and components of a show from start to finish - the audience typically never knows they're there if they're doing their job right). Through some winding of life, I've transitioned from theatrical event coordination to nonprofit events, training, and conference planning. I love collaborating with people and ensuring everyone has a seat at the table and is listened to. There is so much going on in the world right now, we don't have time to not work together. Open communication with active listening, streamlined lists, organized information, and some flexibility and creativity to ensure everyone knows what we need to know in order to make something happen are my sweet spots. I'm especially passionate about advocacy and policy communications, as well as event planning, training coordination, and program design, but I'm also pretty skilled at fundraising, grant writing, and social media marketing. I love talking about online event design and nonprofit capacity building.
