I am Lisa, Mechanical Engineering Graduate with a Second Major in Innovation and Design (iDP). In 2018, I have gained extensive experience not just in school, but also external projects that I have embarked on, which includes the Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC) and the LTA Smart Bus Challenge 2018. Through both projects, I have gained experience in drone frame design using Solidworks, as well as drafting up ideas using Design Thinking to improve public transport in Singapore. In school, projects such as the Underwater Drone Delivery Network, Smart Energy Saving Building and Groomie showcase my flair for innovation and creativity through Design Thinking.From January to July 2019, I interned at Powermat, an Israeli start-up in Tel-Aviv, as part of the National University of Singapore Overseas Colleges Program (NOC). During my 6 month overseas internship, I took on the role of Product Engineer, to integrate the electronic components into a wireless charger product. Apart from my engineering accomplishments, I dedicate my free time to my love for the stray cat community in Singapore.So what does a feline-loving, mechanical engineer have to offer? Every great idea begins with empathy, a desire to understand the needs and challenges faced by their target audience. Every great product designer has the passion for what they want to create and determination to bring their ideas into reality. I am a creative individual who has the technical experience and the will to turn my designs into reality!
