"It's in my DNA!" A few years ago, I had the privilege of working with Gil Cargill, a prestigious sales coach from Cargill Consulting Group. After our first meeting, he told me I was a natural born salesperson and "Lisa, It's in your DNA." I will never forget that comment. I've always enjoyed setting goals and working hard to achieve those goals and sales has allowed me the opportunity to do just that! As for sales being a part of my DNA, I think back to when I was about 9 years old. I wanted my VERY OWN hair dryer, so I had my older sister drive me to every house in our small community in Atkins, Arkansas, to sell flower seed packets that my parents had purchased for me from the advertising section of a Home & Garden magazine. It was my goal that summer to sell as many flower seeds as I possibly could in order to get that amazing Conair hair dryer. I was determined that I could do this and worked on it EVERY day that summer until I accomplished that goal. It was the best feeling EVER when I accomplished that goal and was rewarded for my hard work by getting in the mail a brand new hair dryer. From that summer on, I realized that if I wanted something bad enough I just had to put my mind to it, work hard at it and make it happen!I have been in sales professionally for over 15 years and am constantly thinking, planning and preparing for the next sales opportunity. I am very energetic and hard driving and love facing new challenges. I continually invest in my education as well as my personal development because I truly understand that these are the tools of a GREAT sales professional. I invest a lot in my career, my business and my customers. Managed a $360 million Fixed Asset Accounting System tracking equipment from purchase to disposal. State appointed as Records Manager for the creation, maintenance retention and disposal of school records conforming to the Georgia Records Act. Developed, implemented and administered programs designed to insure that the schools were a safe environment to learn and work. Managed a loss prevention program to minimize potential liabilities, oversaw all claims activities, investigated major losses and negotiated insurance settlements.- Developed the first electronic "Student Accident" form for the District allowing all 62 schools to report any student accidents and/or injuries of concern.- Worked with the School Board Attorney in the investigation and settlements of lawsuits to include student injuries, employee injuries, employment law and property damage.
