Readers 2 Leaders provides high-quality, high-dosage reading instruction to students and professional learning for educators, families, and community members. Our programs help striving readers become proficient, independent readers. In the 2023-2024 school year, we will reach more than 2,000 students across Dallas County.

I provided professional development and support to implement a school-wide system of instruction grounded in student-centered, research-based methods. I developed and delivered the following teacher education courses for primary school faculty:- Model | Guided Practice | Independent Practice Method of Instruction- Leveled Reading: Assessment and Instruction- Identifying and Implementing Quality Online Resources- Teaching Reading Comprehension- Elements of Systematic Phonics InstructionThese courses were delivered in both workshop and student-teacher settings. I also consulted with the organization on the purchase of children's literature and teacher resources, and cataloged and coded the school library.
