I am currently building and managing the NayPyiDaw Living website, a platform for expats and locals to showcase what this overlooked and fast-growing city has to offer. I moved to NayPyiDaw, Myanmar in August 2017 and have been exploring the city and surrounding villages and countryside since then. Before moving to Myanmar, I managed recruitment for US government projects and specialized in recruitment of international technical experts, strategic business development, proposal writing, interviewing techniques, and database development. With International Resources Group (IRG), now Engility Corp, since 2007, I was Senior Recruitment Specialist and interim Recruitment Systems Manager. I led a team of 6 recruitment specialists to staff current company projects and build winning project teams on competitively awarded USAID, JICA and MCC proposals. Additionally, I developed yearly strategic plans for global project and local office recruitment; including staffing and writing personnel sections for the 5 year, $700 million dollar USAID REPLACE IDIQ with over 100 technical experts in forestry, climate change, financing, IT development, project management, grants, gender, monitoring and evaluation, agriculture, and disaster management (7 week turnaround). After leaving IRG/Engility, I joined CIFOR's (Center for International Forestry Research) HR Division. Here I designed a web-based applicant tracking system; managed international and local recruitments, trained the Recruitment Officer, revised HR procedures on recruitment, contracting, and On-Boarding coordinated development of Standard Operating Procedures and HR process streamlining.I also recruited for DAI, Cardno and DEVIS, and the US Peace Corp and was Content Supervisor for the Global Access Database at Michigan State University. I hold a Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology.
