I am an independent acoustical consultant, providing a wide range of expertise and innovative problem solving to clients for acoustics and noise control. I offer acoustical design and design reviews, acoustical modeling, in-process construction inspections to assure acoustical considerations are being built and installed properly, post-construction acoustical testing, troubleshooting of acoustics and noise issues, and expert witness services in acoustics and noise control. With my background in construction, I offer a unique, practical perspective to solving noise issues and problems.I have extensive experience in design of multi-family residential and mixed use buildings, hospitals, hotels, retail, restaurants, office buildings, power plants, and other industrial facilities. I have developed in-house proprietary noise analysis software and conducted research in active noise control.In 2004, I successfully invented and now hold a patent for Shut-Eye(TM) Acoustical Shutters for windows and doors. The design is an industry-leading solution for exterior noise such as traffic, rail lines, aircraft, and noisy neighbors and is ideal for hotels, condominiums, apartments, homes, offices, and military bases.

This is a volunteer position in addition to my primary occupation of acoustical consulting. I have been involved with ASF since 1987 when I received the scholarship while studying mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech.
