Lisa Shih received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from California State University, Fullerton in the summer of 2007.  As a requirement for the degree, Lisa wrote a research paper on “How does music help people with special needs base on music therapy”, which focused on enhancing the lives of people with disability or special needs.With 2 years of teaching experience with children of special needs, and the help from Dr. Dennis Siebenaler, she conducted additional observations at the Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego, to further advance her research in music therapy. Although Lisa’s music life started off in piano, she found her love in singing at a fairly young age too.  Lisa has been singing with the concert choirs starting Jr. High School and was the section leader in college.  During her college life, Lisa conducted various observations at Irvine and Brea School Districts and assisted a music teacher in a summer program to prepare a musical show within six weeks.  At the same time, she also teaches piano privately. Lisa is now an active member of MTAC – Diamond Bar branch, and is also teaching privately as a vocal, beginning piano and music theory instructor in the city of Chino Hills, CA. Music Background· CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, FULLERTON, Bachelor of Art,.Music· Emphasis in voice· Section leader (alto) for CSUF Women’s Choir· Assisted at a summer music program to present a musical show within six weeks.· Active member of MTAC.
