Provide individual and group music therapy to children (early intervention/youth), adolescents, adults, and the elderly with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including: Alzheimer's/dementia, Autism, behavioral disorders, cerebral palsy, communication/speech impairments, Down syndrome, emotional/mood disorders, hearing and vision impairments, and mental health issues with a wide range of functioning. Services provided in private homes, group homes, day treatment centers, hospitals, hospice, support groups, public schools, and in an intensive therapy environment.

Assess the needs of patients/families; design and implement a music therapy treatment plan in order to provide exceptional patient-centered end-of-life care. Consult with interdisciplinary care team about referrals and to assess needs and prioritize intervention. Educate hospice staff and community about the role of the Music Therapist and the use of music therapy interventions with hospice patients and families. Serve as an educational source to staff, care partners, and the community.

Using music as a tool for social change, I provided after school programming for 2nd and 3rd grade students in the Globeville-Elyria-Swansea (GES) neighborhoods, instilling teamwork, self-confidence, and social responsibility. Our focus was on learning violin and cello ensemble music.

Initially hired as Therapy Program Manager in 2007; promoted to Program Director within one year. As Program Director, I oversaw the development and implementation of all programs including one I managed independently, and supported our year-round program staff in serving over 1,000 clients (campers, families, and siblings) each year.*Brought in as interim director in the summer of 2017 during leadership transition.
