I worked on the improvement of a telehealth information service (Asthma Assist) during this work placement. During my time at AFQ, I gained further skills in Microsoft Access, as part of our project involved firstly conducting analysis of the current dataset, as well as redesigning and developing a new database form to be utilised during phone conversations. The new design also had to accommodate follow-up study questions to determine if the telehealth service had an impact on behaviour change in asthmatic medication usage.

As an administration officer at HSPL, I was hired on a three month contract to continue work on the Quality Management System. My position involved the further design and development of an online navigation portal which I worked on during my Internship in 2010. This navigation portal is available for staff at HSPL to access procedural documents relevant to their own work areas. It will act as an alternative to using a search engine for a documents database that is now available to staff. During my time with QLD Health I have gained experience using Microsoft Visio to create various icons for the webpage and ‘Teamsite’ to publish web pages on the intranet site for HSPL.

As an office assistant, I worked on back scanning salary packaging files.

As an intern at HSPL, I took part in the development of a Quality Management System.My position involved writing drafts for HSPL procedural documents with the aim to standardise the broad range of work processes. This was essential to the implementation and certification of the Quality Management System.I also assisted with the design of an online navigation portal which will act as a data repository for the aforementioned procedural documents for each specific unit of HSPL.
