In my role, I lead the development and execution of the Community Mental Health Transformation communications and engagement plan. This involved creating regular updates for our audiences, identifying opportunities to showcase our work, and narrating our transformation journey. I provided expert communications advice at workstream meetings and developed methods to connect with stakeholders, including staff, patients, and local communities. My responsibilities included promoting public and stakeholder engagement, crafting communication materials, writing and editing content for various platforms, supporting the Trust's communication channels and conducting audits to improve communication.

This role involved working with internal and external stakeholders to embed a new way of working across South Staffordshire. I produced three monthly newsletters, regular social media content, video content, stakeholder briefings and press releases.During this role, the NHS faced a huge recruitment crisis, which was a real risk to the community mental health transformation programme. To help mitigate any risks created by this, I worked to develop recruitment graphics, events and paid media campaigns which helped ease pressure on the teams affected by the recruitment crisis. This work changed the way that the Trust looked at recruitment and retention and my previous manager stated that I had taken the Trust into a new era with my work, this is something that I am very proud of.

This role involved working on a political campaign for the Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street. I was responsible for recruiting, training and managing a team of local campaign ambassadors, along with managing Andy Street’s social media platforms by designing graphics, and writing copy, creating, growing and managing Facebook groups, and paid media campaigns. This was a demanding role as it took place during the pandemic, where local communities relied on accurate, easy-to-understand information from local and national governments.

Since being made redundant at the start of the year, I have been teaching English online as a second language to adults and children in China and Taiwan.This role requires me to be creative, friendly, patient and a good communicator. I also have to have good time management skills to be able to complete the lessons within the required time.It's so rewarding to be able to provide my students with skills that will help them to improve their lives.This has been a new challenge for me but one that I am thoroughly enjoying.

Uni News® is a website for international and local university news - by students, for students.I was responsible for a website called Uni News. I helped to design and create the website alongside a team of web developers. My main responsibilities within my role were editing and publishing articles to the website, managing email campaigns to re-target writers who are slipping away, along with emails that motivate writers to continue writing. I ran all of the social media platforms, which included working with our designer to create imagery that will attract writers, as well as creating videos that were shared on all of our social media platforms. In addition to this, I was responsible for recruiting writers and editors, and managing this team to encourage them to create engaging content for Uni News. During my role as Editor in Chief, I used my skills to grow Uni News from just an idea to a website that regularly gained over 25,000 views per month.

During my time at British American Group I worked alongside another Editor to create four publications, these were The Student Guide, The Graduate Guide, The Festival Guide and The Gap Year Travel Guide. I helped to plan each guide, alongside the other members of the editorial team, write the content, source and conduct relevant interviews to be featured in the magazine, source press photos or PR shots and helped to proof-read the publications. I also worked alongside the designer to plan out how each page would look.

Following on from my previous position as the Student Life Sub-editor I was elected as the new Editor in Chief for The Scratch. During my time as Editor I managed to redesign the whole of the magazine. This increased readership and recruitment dramatically and also lead to the magazine being nominated for awards.We were nominated for:- Best Design- Best entertainment piece- Best use of multimedia content- Best Newcomer

In my final year of University, I was elected as Head of News at Scratch Radio.I worked with the universities TV station to produce 60 second long news updates, which were released each week. I also produced and presented an hour-long news based radio show which I edited into a podcast and released online each week.

Attending talks with photographers to record the event. Recording vox pops with people attending events and I am currently working on producing a feature to tell people what the Some Cities intiative is all about.

I completed a three-month internship at BBC Radio 4 working on Woman's Hour. I helped to produce items for the show, including planning interview questions, sourcing contributors, briefing the presenters and pre-recording interviews to be broadcast at later date.
