As the Senior Director of Alumni Relations for Michigan State University, I'm living the Spartan Life while finding new ways to connect alumni around the world with MSU in a meaningful way, often through fellowship, service and support of students and research. A key priority is identifying and cultivating partnerships with Michigan State University units (Admissions, Student Affairs, Colleges, Governmental Affairs) and 100+ mission-aligned alumni groups across the country . These partnerships create meaningful opportunities for alumni to engage with their alma mater on campus, where they live and where they work. Why does my role exist? Michigan State University needs informed and enthusiastic alumni of all backgrounds, professions and locations helping to guide the institution, connect graduates to opportunities, fund meaningful campus initiatives and prepare future generations of Spartans to make a positive contribution to their chosen fields and communities. Every action I take under the banner of MSU is with these goals in mind. I am fortunate to lead a talented and experienced team of alumni relations professionals who value integrity, responsiveness, collaboration, fiscal responsibility, inclusion and accountability for one's actions.
