Marketing DirectorTexas A&M University System Sep 2019 - Sep 2021Bryan/College Station, Texas AreaThis position promotion is relatively new, but my role and responsibilities were not. Instead, I had a more defined role in creating plans to tackle and break down some large initiatives at the RELLIS Campus. I provided content and creative direction for social media, website, recruitment campaigns, advertisements, and videos. The goals and initiatives at the RELLIS Campus included:- Create the momentum to complete proof of product with interactive maps, video profiles, 360 tours, showcasing students, and completion stories. - Improve RELLIS' share of voice in the research, commercialization, cybersecurity, and autonomous vehicle testing industries - Increase awareness of the multiplied opportunities the Academic Alliance offersIn addition to the RELLIS Campus's work, I had some fun with various digital campaigns that considered tactics like strategic messaging, content planning, geo-fencing, and competitor engagement to elevate the voice and awareness of the achievements and highlights of The Texas A&M University System. Siteimprove was also a focus of mine. In the first two years, A&M System members embraced the systemwide tool to create benchmarks to aspire to. The common goal we all had with using Siteimprove was to improve the web experience. -
Marketing And Communications ManagerTexas A&M University System Jun 2017 - Sep 2019Bryan/College Station, Texas AreaThe RELLIS Campus was the brainchild of our Chancellor's, and I had the opportunity to launch and manage the new brand. The RELLIS Campus concept is exceptionally complex itself. Still, four significant components can be broken down: innovative research to commercialization, research partnerships between private and public companies with A&M System state agencies, workforce training and development, and higher education options to many in the Brazos Valley. During this time, I helped negotiate and coordinate agency efforts to launch the awareness and ad campaigns for the RELLIS Campus and its subsidiary, the RELLIS Academic Alliance. The RELLIS Campus was growing as the majority of my responsibilities in the A&M System. Virtually a startup, there are so many milestones to fulfill in the first few years. I am really fortunate to help lead the way. -
Social Media Communication ManagerTexas A&M University System Sep 2016 - Jun 2017Bryan/College Station, Texas AreaSocial media and digital strategy rely on concise and creative messaging. I had the opportunity to provide the messaging for the Texas A&M System and provide internal communications to our system members and stakeholders so they, too, can feel confident to deliver powerful social media messaging.Joining The Texas A&M University System as the Social Media Manager meant I could move up in the system while concentrating solely on social media. This did not mean I sat back and relaxed. I was lucky to jump into this role to refine how we were already using social media, experiment with tactics we were not using, and find a few ways to share the great successes all members of the A&M System were achieving daily. -
Marketing ConsultantWinter Pediatric Therapy 2015 - 2020Houston, Texas, United StatesI’ve assisted Winter Pediatrics with employee and talent strategies for their marketing and social media searches. Occasionally, I served the organization by supplying social media graphics and providing video editing services. -
Executive Director Of Marketing CommunicationsTexas A&M University-Commerce Jul 2013 - Sep 2016Commerce, TxAs the Executive Director, I had the opportunity to coordinate efforts to identify, develop and execute the university's brand, communications, and marketing strategies for student recruiting, retention, and university advancement. Additionally, I helped define and communicate the A&M-Commerce brand in a clear, concise, and compelling way.Within this role, I had the privilege of supervising and managing personnel for public relations, creative, photography/videography, website development, social media, and online advertisement (full-time & part-time). The NPR radio station 88.9 KETR was within my supervision, but I leaned on qualified radio professionals to deliver timely news and quality programming to the community and surrounding areas. Both of these teams are very creative, passionate, and great at what they do!I led our group through the communication requirements during crisis and severe weather situations. Additionally, I participated in moderating social media content that directly and indirectly addresses the university. I enjoy developing and conducting focus groups and surveys for various initiatives. In the spring of 2014, I was heavily involved with the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and successfully carried out marketing and event programming that helped retain the initiative's purpose. I've enjoyed building external vendor relationships that helped enhance our marketing placement within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. These joint efforts have strengthened our name and recognition among our peers and competitors within the region. -
Interim Executive Director Of Marketing CommunicationsTexas A&M University-Commerce Sep 2012 - Jun 2013Commerce, TexasWithin this role, I managed a creative department and oversaw the operations of a radio station, 88.9 KETR. Two milestones within this term included creating the university's first news blog and an aggregated social media portal. The news blog enhanced the usability and optimizations of accessing our university's news. The social media portal, called the Social Den, allowed potential students and parents, current students, and alumni to find all of the ways to connect to their group. Also within this role, I was a part of the task force to assess the impact of a new off-site location in Rockwall, Tx, as well as, a part of the ribbon cutting committee to celebrate the momentous occasion. -
Associate Director Of Marketing & New MediaTexas A&M University-Commerce Sep 2011 - Sep 2012Rayburn Student Center | Commerce, TxIn addition to the responsibilities in the former role, we expanded the auxiliary business to include mass volume printing, quick copy, binding, and finishing services. This addition came from a merge of an existing service on campus. I also had the privilege of overseeing full-time staff and expand our student employee support. While in this role I had the opportunity to educate internal groups about brand usage, tools to market and promote their programs, and effective planning. -

Intern For University MarketingTexas State University Jan 2008 - May 2008San Marcos, TexasThis internship was eye opening. For the first time I got a great glimpse at how important the brand was for the whole company, and not just for the internal departments. We are all supposed to represent our brand consistently and proudly. When we are working internal it is easy to lose sight of the end goal. Wanting to make your own identity within a company is sometimes counterproductive. The right balance of efforts and purpose makes internal branding effective. -
Graduate Assistant-MarketingTexas State University Jul 2006 - May 2008I helped establish brand consistency for the Department of Campus Recreation. I enjoyed promoting and planning the groundbreaking for the recreation center expansion.
