Responsible for communicating the purposes, strategic intent and activities of the College primarily to its internal community, the Communications Officer develops all social media content for the College, as well as a range of other communications functions.

Lis O’Brien Online was established in early 2010 to provide the flexibility to work from home and build and develop websites and social media management for clients. Providing communication services including website development, branding and logo design, communication planning and digital newsletters, Lis O’Brien Online has assisted a vast array of not-for-profit and national corporate organisations.

Responsible for the organisation’s communication strategy and development, the Senior Communications Officer, prepared written and visual material for the NTC’s Annual Report and a range of technical information bulletins and fact sheets including the National Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue Reform. Assisting with the NTC’s media relations, the role included the writing of media releases and monitoring the reform environment. Managing the planning and delivery of activities related to the NTC’s involvement in industry events was also a key objective. The position involved liaising with media, stakeholders and general administration with a focus on the development of an Internal Communications Plan.

TCA was established by the various Australian road authorities to implement and administer the Intelligent Access Program, which is a national road reform and its purpose is to optimise the performance of the road network. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the role was instrumental and solely responsible in managing the company’s communications.The position required excellent relationship-building skills to regularly liaise with stakeholders and suppliers. Major achievements included the production of a corporate video, establishment of the TCA website, and the creation of the organisation’s corporate identity.

As the Public Relations Manager for one of Australian leading V8 Supercar teams at the time, the position was responsible for liaising with corporate sponsors including primary team sponsor, Castrol Racing. The position was responsible for all team communications including the preparation and distribution of media releases and organising promotional events with team personnel, fan club members and corporate sponsors.
