Liz Hansen is an industry consultant, with over 30 years of experience in Information Technology within the ambulatory and acute Healthcare settings. A recognized expert in Health Information Exchange, MACRA/MIPS, Promoting Interoperabilty, Quality Improvement and Practice Transformation, she serves as a Senior Advisor to the Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN) facilitating innovative connections to support a statewide Community of Care and commitment to nationwide interoperability. Liz also participates in the quality improvement efforts sponsored by the Alliant Health Solutions QIN/QIO.Liz has assisted thousands of providers through practices, health systems and ACOs in their successful efforts to achieve HIE connectivity, MIPS, Meaningful Use, Interoperability and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). She holds certifications in Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH CCE), MACRA (CMHP), Meaningful Use (CMUP) and HIPAA Compliance (CHSP, CHSP) and currently serves on the Sequoia Project Interoperability Data Usability Workgroup.Liz has served as the Director of the ONC Federal Grant for “Expanding Interoperability Within South Carolina and the Southeast,” and participated as a member of the Southeast Regional Collaboration for HIT/HIE (SERCH). She served on the Executive Board of the Georgia Chapter of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (GA-HIMSS) for five years, and seven years as a member of the GA-HIMSS Board of Directors. Liz has also performed assessments for the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI) and served as a member of the national HIMSS MACRA panel, the HIMSS Meaningful Use Task Force, the HIMSS Chapter Leader Task Force, the Georgia HIE Task Force, and the Georgia ICD-10 Collaborative. She is a frequent speaker and subject matter expert at professional seminars on the topics of HIE, MACRA, PCMH, Interoperability and HIPAA Cyber Security.
