Team Leader, Regional People & Workforce Leads / Workforce Change Lead
In this role I was accountable for the regional change transition of Water Services from Local Government to a new delivery model. I drove the operational delivery of position and data management transition with a team of nationally dispersed Regional Leads and Senior HR Advisors to deliver change in a politically charged and uncertain environment. Towards the end of this role, I was promoted to the Workforce Change Lead position to support the programme close down.
Gm, People & Engagement
In this role I was the Executive General Manager for People & Engagement. (Human Resources; Organisational Development; Health, Safety, Quality & Risk; Property and Communications & Engagement) My role as a people strategist and enterprise leader saw me deliver a broad range of outcomes that served the people of the organisation and the community.
Hr Manager, Lumley Earthquake Response
In this role I was accountable for all generalist HR solutions which supported the team working through the remaining Lumley Earthquake Response claims. As a member of the leadership team, I identified and developed strategic plans in partnership with the wider IAG people team. This role focused on coaching senior managers to develop their own capability and successfully lead their teams with confidence to achieve the Canterbury Recovery effort objectives and support customers back into their homes.
Hr Manager, Lumley Earthquake Response
The Lumley Earthquake Response unit was established to support communities after the 2011 Christchurch Earthquake. The unit brought together insurance, engineering and project management expertise to resolve insurance complexities and get people back into their homes. My role as a member of the leadership was to establish the team in Christchurch, providing advice and delivering strategies in talent acquisition, employment relations, DEI initiatives and wellbeing support. At the end of this contract the Lumley Group was acquired by IAG Insurance and my role transitioned.
Regional Hr Manager
On moving to NZ in 2010 I worked as a Regional HR Manager supporting 15 stores and over 800 staff across the South Island. This role started 3 months before the first Christchurch Earthquake. I was accountable for all generalist day-to-day people operations across all stores including regular travel across the region and to the North Island. For a period of about 12 months, I was also involved in the complex workforce planning within the Christchurch area where stores were frequently closed, reopened and team members required wellbeing support and redeployment. I led large-scale change across the Christchurch team during this time and provided much needed compassionate leadership to store managers and team members.
Hr Manager
Commencing employment for Sainsbury’s whilst studying I was promoted to HR Manager at the age of 20. Throughout this time, I worked in a variety of roles and locations across London and the South Coast of England. I was able to develop my skills across the full range of HR skills including talent acquisition and retention; workforce planning; learning and development; training facilitation; coaching; internal auditing; project management; employee engagement; budget control; policy research, development and implementation and collaboration.
