Graduated as a Construction Technician, held position of Contractors Quality Representative (CQR),working on site to implement and maintain the projects Quality Plans. Also labouring as a construction worker on both bridge and road projects. As CQR I was responsible for all measuring and compliance testing against the plans and specifications and for producing monthly progress claims. Spending more time in the field I became Leading Hand with a " 2nd in charge" type role often carrying out the CQR duties concurrently. During these years these roles were somewhat interchangeable to best suit the resource requirements of the organisation.As Maintenance Supervisor for two years I would actively travel the network to log road defects and specify the remedial treatment required,creating a rolling back- log of defects and managing a budget allocation and coordination of all resources to complete the maintenance activities.Also served as the CQR for the all of the regions Maintenance operations,and worked with regional managers to develop quality management procedures and plans.Construction Supervisor entailed the responsibility for co ordination of all plant labour and materials on a daily basis to carry out all necessary activies for the duration of the project. Working with management and client to develop and safely meet the construction schedule time frames within the bounds of the Contract,specifications and budget all to a high level of quality.
