As of May 2024, I’m serving as NDNs Interim Director of Advancement, continuing to support the organization’s capacity to invest in the collective power of Indigenous leaders and communities. As the largest Indigenous-led fund in existence, NDN will have provided close to $100 million in transformational grant support to more than 700 Indigenous-led organizations and leaders by the end of 2024. Currently working on a PhD in Leadership and Change through Antioch University, I recently was the Director of Advancement for Thunder Valley CDC. In this position I saw the organization grow from a vision to a community development, from a staff of four to a staff of over 100. Most importantly, I did this through a lens of advancing the organization and the mission, not just fundraising. I come at this work with the belief that relationships lead and that systems change is how we will build a more equitable world. It was relationships that led me from college counseling at Red Cloud Indian School, to interning at Thunder Valley CDC before building out the Advancement Team. A social worker by training, I know that communities are resilient, and doing the work on the ground is where I'm most comfortable working towards macro level systems change. Show less
