I returned because I enjoyed the work, loved the content (art classes and other subject matter) and felt supported as part of a team. I am passionate about building the best instructional content with the tools and timeline available.I worked with SMEs, Content Editors and a Video team to build online courses for the Academy of Art. I was recently assigned as the Producer for a new Creative Workshops series and thoroughly enjoyed the process of making all of the pieces of that puzzle come together for a successful and exciting experience!Utilizing a LMS and a CMS (Adobe Experience Manager) for content input and control we recreate in-person classes for online students complete with rich media and interactive design. UI Front-end Development in strict SVN environment. XSL, XML, XPath ,JavaScript, CSS & somewhere in there is a little HTML (short position due to massive layoffs after merger with Ticketmaster—so we also played a lot of board games: RftG & Dominion)

I created this position for our department. Acted as liaison between the Production and the Development departments using my years of experience in Production (course development) to inform and update the Learning Management System development. I also became the UI lead for this LMS, which was managed and designed in-house. I specialized in CSS development/streamlining and added UI improvements for new pages/sections of the back- and front-end users. Managed communication between all the disparate groups working on these projects to translate their needs and requirements - between engineers, developers, producers and management.Prior to this I was an Instruction Design Supervisor managing a small team of E-Learning Designers and originally worked myself as an E-Learning designer creating and managing the development of Online courses.

After completing their Multimedia certificate program, I then completed the program 3 more times as a teacher's assistant. This gave me lots of time to improve my skills during a bad time in the dot com industry. BAVC sent many of their web development job requests to me and I started a contract web design business on the side.Since I then knew the program so well, I eventually began subbing - teaching in the YouthLink program and then teaching weekend workshops in Dreamweaver and Flash. This prepared me for my next job in E-Learning at the Academy of Art.
