Education and Outreach Manager 09/2009 - Present Oversee outreach to eligible permanent residents to apply for citizenship; manage citizenship classes and workshops funded by Citizenship and Integration Grant Program; recruit and supervise class instructors; volunteer tutors and attorneys for citizenship drives and immigration informative sessions. Expand partnership with community organizations in new service areas. Work collaboratively with citizenship class instructors developing materials, class outlines, education videos and education presentations. Organize and conduct workshops and seminars about citizenship “Becoming a United States Citizen”, computer literacy, domestic violence, finance literacy, adult continuing education, cultural and art projects for social change. Designed and managed the Ready for Business Program, English Class with an Emphasis on Business/Financial Literacy funded by Queens Economic Development Corporation. Designed the documentary workshop: “Rights Camera Action”! funded by Queens Council on the Arts. Prepare the education, immigration and social service content for the organization newsletter and maintain the citizenship program website. Provides support with financial and administration program reports; including drafting narrative information on work progress, timely submitting grant applications and reports.
