As the Mayor of Victorville and a lifelong resident, my commitment to our city runs deep. My journey from city worker to city council member and now Mayor has equipped me with the insight and experience needed to lead Victorville into a bright future. My campaign is driven by the core principle of putting our Community First.Public safety is a top priority. I have advocated for a new police station on Civic Drive and Seneca, part of our broader Civic Center project. This initiative will enhance our public safety infrastructure and ensure we have the necessary resources to keep our community safe. Additionally, I support community policing strategies and a public safety oversight committee to foster trust and reduce crime.Economic development is crucial for our city’s growth. Many residents commute long distances for work, and I aim to change that by collaborating with corporations and supporting projects like the high-speed rail with Brightline and Metrolink expansions. By investing in workforce development and partnering with local educational institutions, we can prepare our residents for careers in emerging industries such as technology, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing.Improving city services is also a key focus. I am dedicated to expanding library services, promoting the use of electric vehicles within the city’s fleet, and enhancing our public transportation system. These initiatives will not only reduce emissions and save money but also ensure our city remains sustainable and forward-thinking.My dedication to Victorville is unwavering. I have championed Measure P to fund public safety and quality of life initiatives, addressing homelessness and crime, and upgrading city services, including our library. I am passionate about enhancing community programs, developing a sports complex, and supporting youth initiatives.Together, we can create a Victorville that is safe, prosperous, and vibrant.
