Work on the blog team included web/UX design and the visual presentation of their products and lifestyle photography in editorial context. Other responsibilities included photo selection, editing, color correction, compositing, and creation of visual assets. Proofed copy, and layout as well as set up, scheduling, and publishing on the custom blog site and email campaigns.

Involved in a wide variety of contracts with other designers, engineers, writers, management teams, and stakeholders to solve visual and interactive problems. Helped implement data-informed design and experiences with special attention to responsive web design solutions working both independently and in team environments.

One of the earliest user-generated content platforms on the web, founded by Seth Godin. I worked closely with leadership, developers, and user-facing teams to improve the platform’s experience and bring new features to life. Squidoo reached the rank of 35th on the web for traffic in the U.S. My work included presentation design, feature specs, wireframes, mockups, A/B testing, usability testing, and help coordinating QA testing rounds. Also worked on ad setup and helped manage relationships with the platform's advertising partners.

As a self-employed designer and photographer, I was fortunate to work on many projects that merged both disciplines. Among these were web design, advertising/promotional design for publications, and book design, as well as original photography for events, products, and businesses.

Responsible for the visual representation of the university in publications, advertising, signage, and other media. Collaborated closely with internal teams, clients and outside vendors to ensure brand consistency and integrity while supporting the design needs for each of the university’s schools and departments.

Worked in a highly collaborative marketing team environment for this large, regional healthcare system. Produced mainly print materials for internal and external audiences for all of the departments and hospitals.

Created a wide variety of materials for print and web output. Wrote and edited copy for advertising campaigns and promotional materials, met with clients for discovery sessions, and did press checks regularly to ensure the quality and accuracy of the finished work. Worked alongside and learned as much as possible from an amazing mentor, owner, and lead designer, Mark Smith.
