Ms. Sharp founded her own firm in February 2010. Since opening her own practice, Ms. Sharp has handled complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts, breach of contract claims, commercial real estate transactions for both borrowers and lenders, employment law matters and business transactions. She brings a pragmatic approach to each case and transaction. Her clients have expressed great confidence in her abilities, and are thankful that their interests are being represented by an experienced lawyer, not an attorney in training. She has an AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating in commercial law, general practice and business law, which is one of the highest ratings for legal knowledge, experience and ethical standards.

As general counsel for Scattered Corporation, Ms. Sharp represented a holding company, its operating subsidiaries and investments. Those companies included owners of over seven commercial office buildings in the Chicago Loop, a software company in the golf industry and an alternative energy company that used landfill gas to generate electricity. She handled the majority of work herself, doing commercial real estate work, business transactional work and commercial litigation. She has extensive first chair trial experience and has handled and argued multiple appeals.

Ms. Sharp was a partner at Freeborn & Peters. Her practice concentrated on commercial litigation, including employment law, contracts, federal and state securities litigation including fraud on the market claims under the 1934 Securities Act and proceedings in regulated industries for a securities broker dealer, a natural gas pipeline, railroads and a methane gas to electricity company. She first and second chaired trials, handled depositions, organized large document productions, and brought and argued appeals in state and federal courts.
