Liz was brought on to the Boys and Girls Club of Albany initially in an events coordination role to help support their administrative team and board in planning/executing their seven major events each year. She was quickly promoted into the Director of Donor Relations role where she not only oversees the planning and execution of the fundraising events but focuses on the development and stewardship of donors. Liz works with a talented and dedicated team to ensure not only the ongoing funding for programs at the Club but support for the staff that works tirelessly to provide a safe and enriching space for over 3,000 members each year.

Planned and administered both the Children’s Program and the Parenting Support Group at the Dunn House, a shelter for victims of domestic violence. Worked to developed and implemented new curriculum for the teen and adult programs. Assist clients in accessing community services, recruited and manage volunteers, as well as develop and provided training to community partners. Worked to re-design volunteer training program with a small team of co-workers. Assisted in organizing and facilitating quarterly volunteer training for up to 65 individuals. Maintain program participation statistics, budgeting and expense reports.

Focused on building relationships with patrons and establishing a sense of community within organization. Developed and supervised the Adaptive PE program with the Ashland School Districts Alternative Physical Education Program. Created a new curriculum for swim lessons that blended both the YMCA’s lesson standards and the American Red Cross standards, to better meet the needs of our program. Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and motivating employees and volunteers. Developed promotional materials for all aquatic programs and camps. Responsible for overseeing all aquatic programs for children and adults to ensure they were organized, well staffed, and safe.
