With over 10 years of experience in applied behavioural science and analysis following undergraduate and masters level degrees in Psychology and Forensic Psychology respectively, I am passionate about using psychological research and theory to better solve problems and effect change. I am trained and experienced in behaviour change, criminal behaviour analysis, psychometric personality assessment (including remote personality profiling), intelligence interviewing, and social research methods. After recently relocating to Seattle from London (UK) I am currently open to opportunities to apply my skills to social purpose projects and have a particular interest in the prevention of gender-based violence and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSEA), improving global gender equality, and the use of psychology to tackle geopolitical and global risks.As the Head of Behavioural Science at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), I led the development of a new behavioural science function to work alongside data science and open source experts to improve foreign policy-making and international development programming. I delivered several impactful projects and initiatives that have enhanced the FCDO's understanding and response to complex and emerging global challenges, such as disinformation, radicalisation, Covid-19, and conflict resolution. As a behaviour change expert, I am familiar with and utilise multiple tools and frameworks, and have also devised an adapted behaviour change methodology tailored for particularly complex, dynamic, and multifaceted issues. I have several years experience conducting behavioural analysis of serious crime to support the investigative process. This is predominantly stranger-perpetrated sexual crime and homicide, and includes crime scene assessment, predictive profiling, crime linkage analysis, suspect generation/prioritisation, and enhanced familial DNA prioritisation. As well as supporting 'real world' investigations, I led the provision of behavioural support to high profile investigations of online (Dark Web) CSEA offenders.
