Accountable for developing and implementing communication strategies to suit the need of various programs to a variety of stakeholders of The Salvation Army. Another primary function is serving as the liaison to the media and Advisory Board, as well as fostering relationships with public and private entities. I manage all marketing efforts both digital and traditional, including direct mail. In 2015, I helped implement and facilitate an inaugural peer to peer fundraising campaign, which exceeded goal by 6%. I also execute logistics, operations, and promotion of events throughout the year. Other responsibilities include media relations, donor recognition, data integrity, and producing collateral.

In this role, I maintained and developed content for website(s) and blog, as well as managed social media outlets (including starting an Instagram account), which experienced nearly 60% increase of activity and engagement. I was very intentional in promoting open discourse and transparency to strengthen brand and awareness of programs. I consistently informed the media and community of needs, upcoming events, and programs through press releases. I was also accountable for coordinating events and development of collateral, such as the annual report, newsletter, and campaign materials. In 2013, I created a Marketing Committee comprised almost entirely of professionals not directly tied to the organization in an effort to bring new insight. Additional functions included efficient and effective use of the marketing budget.

I cultivated relationships with individuals to increase volunteer longevity, while simultaneously increasing productivity and efficiency of programs. I was responsible for orienting and training volunteers on different aspects of organization, including but not limited to history, policies & procedures, program components, cultural sensitivity, trauma. Throughout this time, I managed 9,000 volunteers (yearly) involved in over 15 programs and maintained current database and spreadsheets to ensure accurate statistics for grants. I also orchestrated and promoted volunteer opportunities through public speaking, literature, and media. In 2012, I started a Junior Advisory Board to combat a nation wide issue of need to engage a younger generation.
