I began my journey with 3rd Law Dance/Theater in 2018 as a volunteer, assisting with their Dance for Parkinson’s classes. After completing the Dance for PD® training in October 2018, I started teaching for the program. In June 2019, I took on the role of Program Director on a part-time basis, and in April 2023, I assumed the position full-time.Key Highlights:• Program Leadership & Community Engagement: Led the growth and expansion of 3rd Law’s Dance for Parkinson’s program, increasing community participation through creative partnerships, new program offerings (including online and Spanish-language options), and community events.• Project Management: Project managed Five Lives, a collaborative film celebrating Dance for PD programs across Colorado, which premiered at the San Souci Dance Cinema Festival. The project culminated in a live event at The Dairy Arts Center in 2023, featuring a performance and a panel discussion with experts in neurology, physical therapy, and the arts, exploring the intersection of art and wellness.• Community Engagement: Organized a screening to showcase highlights from the PD Crane Dance Project, a global initiative involving dance groups who created films inspired by the Soaring with Hope origami installation at the 5th World Parkinson’s Congress in Kyoto, Japan. Facilitated a local contribution from our Boulder community, strengthening connections and cultivating pride by linking participants with a worldwide movement.

Wildlife Protection Solutions (WPS) is an international non-profit dedicated to the preservation of endangered species and their habitats. Over the course of nine years, I supported key initiatives across marketing and communications, bookkeeping, and Human Relations, contributing to the organization’s operational success and growth.

Karmê Chöling is a meditation retreat center in Vermont, where I collaborated on marketing strategy, market research, website maintenance, and content development.

Wangmo Designs was a retail company specializing in East-meets-West apparel from Nepal. I was hired to turn a volunteer run, home-based organization into a viable business. I built a team of web developers, graphic designers, and copywriters and launched a Wordpress e-commerce website.

Shambhala Mountain Center (now Drala Mountain Center) is a multi-million dollar retreat center in the Colorado Rockies. I first lived and worked at the center from 2006 to 2008 as part of the senior management team. In 2012, I returned as Marketing Director at the Boulder offices, tasked with rebuilding a marketing department that had been largely dormant.• Revitalized the social media strategy, transforming it from a basic program announcement platform into a dynamic, engaged online community—more than doubling the fan base and driving significant growth in referral traffic.• Reversed declining program registrations, introducing new initiatives that boosted participation by 50% and dramatically reduced program cancellations.

The Sakyong Foundation was established to support the long-term financial stability of Shambhala International, a global meditation community with over 200 centers. I was hired to build an online presence and help Shambhala centers strategize their marketing, publicity, and fundraising campaigns.• Worked closely with urban meditation center leadership to leverage a matching grant initiative aimed at increasing membership, resulting in over $650,000 in new funding.• Led the vision and production of the 100,000 Aspirations project, an online social network designed to gather support for a monument to peace. By engaging prominent spiritual leaders, the project successfully reached a wide audience on a limited budget.

I served on the senior management team as liaison to Director; Coordinated events and programs.

I co-created and performed in Ulalì, a duo trapeze act that debuted in a Puerto Rican circus, performing alongside acts such as a boxing kangaroo and an exploding car. Establishing a website and promotional materials, we took our 1920’s-era theatrical number to Berlin, Germany to perform in Varieté Theaters throughout Europe.

I performed for three summers with Make*A*Circus, a traveling one-ring circus that brought live theater and circus arts to youth throughout California. I also taught in the Clown Therapy program at homeless shelters and directed the after-school Teen Apprentice Program.

I co-founded and co-directed the celebrated political theater ensemble’s youth wing, bringing skilled, high energy comic performance, strong storyline, live music, and social commitment to shows created for and with children.
