In my capacity as Professional Services Consultant/Applications Specialist, I provided the conduit between the client and project team, with overarching responsibility for implementing PowerPath Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) on the Pathology Queensland LIMS replacement project.A selection of contributions that I was most proud to have delivered include:• Scoped and analysed anatomical pathology requirements, mapping into PowerPath LIMS to utilize functionality. Negotiated with client to determine wants vs needs, employing influencing skill to provide recommendations toward the ‘best practice solution’. New processes created efficiencies, resulting in improved workflows which equally met NATA and client requirements.• Successfully managed the PowerPath solution project, coordinating an international team to meet or exceed scheduled timeframes for configuration build. Provided meticulous documentation with all risks tracked and enhancements logged.• Developed a professional and trusting rapport with the newly formed Queensland subject matter expert team, paving the way to the implementation of the best possible solution.• Facilitated structured and productive client and stakeholder meetings to report progress, re-confirm assumptions and project scope, assure next actions and then feed clearly defined responsibilities back to the team.

In my capacity as Application Specialist which led into a IT project management role in 2017, I was responsible for optimizing systems and technology, leading new projects and supporting all applications within the anatomical pathology department.Some contributions during this period include: • Conducted comprehensive analysis and audit of laboratory input and outputs, uncovering process inefficiency and errors, the resolution of which led to a reduction in loss of revenue.• Led the anatomical pathology clinical trials software configuration build. Partnered closely with the clinical trials department to support the approval and completion of two separate stringent and highly regulated Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) international trials.• Built Crystal reports to provide statistical and audit data to support business decision making in line with departmental and national requirements.

I was the LIS Project Lead and subject matter expert, responsible for the successful implementation of the Anatomical Pathology PowerPath LIMS with integration to the clinical pathology LIMS, InterSystems TrakCare Lab, which was being implemented concurrently. Some contributions over this period include:• PowerPath implemented on schedule with InterSystems TrakCare Lab and within circa $300K budget.• Minimal disruption to daily business at golive, staff were trained and Standard Operating Procedures coordinated and documented.• Laboratory productivity was improved by streamlining processes, implementation of 2d barcode tracking, improved auditing and a direct interface to the National Cervical Screening Program for HPV testing.
