Johns Hopkins HEAT (Health Education And Training) Corps Volunteers provide health education and training regarding COVID-19 to youth. The program is currently being taught through virtual platforms with non-profit organizations, and will be expanded to schools throughout the United States.The HEAT Corps will discuss how youth can make a difference by modeling social distancing, handwashing, and mask wearing. Through a series of 30-minute sessions – using both live “virtual” teaching or recorded presentations – the HEAT Corps aims to heighten K-12 student awareness about the science of COVID-19 and the public health response.
