As a principal in real estate projects, Kimball is responsible for all aspects of investor relations, risk management, sourcing and analysis of prospective projects, and financial modeling. Financial services seeks to develop and manage a diversified portfolio of investments. We directly and indirectly acquire, invest, manage, sell, transfer, operate or otherwise deal in investments of securities and venture funds. We will invest both in control positions, where it will be active in the management of the investment, and in addition to passive investments.

Since joining in February 2005, Kimball has had P&L responsibility for all hotel projects. This includes the entitlement, design, financing, opening, and asset management of several large public-private hotel and mixed-use projects totaling ~1,200 hotel rooms with combined development costs of $600+M:• Lane Field: a $400+M project of 800 hotel rooms (inc. a 525-key InterContinental), retail and parking;• 196-key Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Escondido, CA totaling approximately $60M; • $100+M mixed-use project on the historic 22-acre Riverfront Redevelopment in Yuma, AZ that includes a 150-key Hilton Garden Inn with a 19,000 square foot conference center totaling $29M; • 95-key Marriott SpringHill Suites in Monterey County, CA totaling approximately $19M, and;• Best Western Mission Bay Hotel in San Diego where Kimball negotiated the ~$13M purchase agreement and arranged financing in May 2006 for this 101-key hotel.

Founded Historic Hospitality, LLC to obtain the management contract for the Boulder Dam Hotel in Boulder City, NV. The 22-room hotel is listed on the National Historic Register and opened in 1933. Kimball had hands-on management responsibility during the time he was with both Horwath Hospitality and C. W. Clark, Inc. The hotels was sold to a non-profit in October 2005.

Horwath is a full service real estate company focused exclusively on the hospitality industry with consulting, brokerage, and financing services. HHL, headquartered in San Francisco, has a network of offices located throughout North America. As a member of Horwath International, the global leader in the hotel and tourism sector for over 75 years, HHL offers clients immediate access to one of the world's largest hospitality practices with over 40 offices and 150 professionals dedicated to the hospitality industry. From 2003 to 2005, Kimball conducted numerous engagements including acting as HHL’s Project Manager to the City of Garden Grove Redevelopment Agency who was evaluating developer proposals asking for City investments in new hotels.

During this technology boom and bust cycle, Kimball provided “C-Level-To-Go” consulting services to a variety of emerging growth companies. This included CFO services to structure and raise equity through private placement memorandums and to act as CFO for a small publicly traded company. Kimball became a General Partner of a San Diego-based family’s private equity fund that focused on seed and Series A investments in start-up and emerging growth companies. Kimball structured a roll-up of a consumer electronics company with telecommunications and internet service providers in the US, Argentina, and Mexico. Kimball left to return to the hospitality industry.

Lanai Company, Inc. owned 98% of the island of Lanai and Kimball reported to Dole Food Company’s Lanai Office of the Chairman as CFO and COO. Hotel General Managers reported to Kimball. Kimball led the restructuring and strategic planning effort in 1994. He was involved in Gold Nugget award winning multi-family residential development and sales, luxury hotel operations, commercial and residential property management, extensive support operations, land entitlements for residential development, hotel worker collective bargaining agreements, asset dispositions, significant cash flow improvement, and P&L accountability for $70+ million revenue operation with 1,100 employees and $650 million in assets.
