A self-confessed energy, DIY, bike geek and passionate cook, I enjoy getting my hands dirty to balance theory and practice with a Masters in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge and a Bachelor of Mechatronics (robotics) from UQ. My secret sauce is being unconventional and allowing creativity drive my work ethic as I'm a visual thinker and very hands on. If I've dreamt up a concept or design, I will visualise if it would really work in the real world, especially when I can build or cook it myself. I'm passionate about street and comfort foods, as the simpliest of recipes with quality ingredients, often satisfy your appetite most. I'm always striving for the most complex challenges to be solved with the most simple of solutions.I actually back this up by developing my own concepts, building and testing them with my very own brand, "LEE Engineering" (I will speak about this later). My professional experience extends from Australia and the UK in having worked within the energy, HVAC & building design, mining, consulting and local government sectors. I am passionate about sustainability with a core belief that creativity and pragmatism will enable society to navigate an equitable path to Net Zero emissions.I love to design and tinker, where through my brand, "LEE Engineering" - I design and build bespoke "forever bikes" with titanium (Ti3Al2.5V) road, gravel and mountain geometry frames, high-performance custom wheels and personally test out them out (most recently bikepacking in California - just prior the pandemic). I also designed and built my own semi off-grid home office which was featured in Sanctuary Magazine.
