Lloyd is a Senior Architect with extensive experience in the industry. He recently moved from VDMMA (Cape Town) to Henriquez Partners Architects (Vancouver). At VDMMA he a was a co-owner, and was the Director in charge of the Silo District development at the V+A Waterfront, managing a team of up to 13 architects on 8 projects. These included retail, commercial and residential buildings, as well as the Zeitz MOCAA art museum (as executive architect in association with Thomas Heatherwick). These projects have won multiple awards internationally and have been widely published. Two of the projects also achieved a 6 Green Star sustainability rating, the highest achievable. Lloyd has long had a particular interest in Sustainable Design and has worked on a many sustainable projects, both rated and unrated. He recently set up the local Cape Town hub for the Carbon Leadership Forum.
