A global role with a main focus of strengthening financial processes and controls by defining and maintaining robust finance architecture * Ensuring the effective design, testing and operation of key financial controls across the business.* Co-ordinating with financial controllers to create action plans to remediate control weaknesses.* Created and established process for best practice of procedures and financial controls to be shared between financial controllers within the group and encourage intercompany communication resulting in the use of standardised core processes and controls throughout the group and a knowledge hub for finance staff.

Appointed Financial Director for UK and Ireland during the merger of the two market leaders in the digital security industry ( Gemplus Ltd and Axalto UK Limited).* Project Manager for the merged UK entities, responsible for managing the asset transfer of Gemplus Limited and restructure of the finance function.* Prepared multiple scenarios for manufacturing strategy within the UK and made a recommendation to management resulting in the centralisation of manufacturing operations on a single site resulting in significant savings.* Acting as a business partner to the Business Development team by providing support on costing, pricing strategy and contract review in complex tenders resulting in £20M revenue growth.

Promoted to this role giving responsibility for the financial management of the business ensuring delivery of accurate financial reporting and providing support to the commercial and operational managers within the business.* Rationalisation of legal entities in the UK and Ireland from 5 down to 2 increasing efficiency and reducing salaries and professional fees by more than £100K per year.* Acted as business partner to the Business Development team by preparing costing and pricing strategy resulting in the award of several key contracts.* Set strategy to significantly reduce DSO by establishing good working practices and building relationships with customers encouraging communication and allowing rapid responses to potential payment issues.
