SBF is a prestigious scholarship programme, curated by a specialist team that is redefining what a scholarship means. We support young people on a journey that starts in Grade 6 and ends with their first job. At SBF we believe that breaking the chain of poverty begins with one child. And that if given access to quality education with psychological, social, and academic support, as well as personal life skills development, we can change the future.

Connect Network's vision is to create a world where children are protected, families thrive, and communities undergo positive transformation. It's mission is to facilitate collaboration among a network of non-profit organizations to empower women and children at risk. This empowerment is achieved through initiatives encompassing health, education, psycho-social support, and economic empowerment.The strategy at Connect Network is in harmony with South Africa's National Development Plan for 2030, ensuring alignment with broader national objectives while addressing local challenges facing communities.

Board Secretary (2016 - Present)Appointed by the Trustees I am responsible for ensuring legal compliance with relevant laws and regulations is crucial. Facilitating communication between board members, executives, and supporting the board in governance matters. I also fulfil an advisory role to the Board Chair, Executive Director and COO offering insights on best practices, risk management, and potential areas for organisational and strategic programmatic improvement.

At TLD, we believe that the right kind of education has the power to develop strong, enthusiastic, confident leaders of the future – leaders who are able to lead with their head and heart, leaders who are self-motivated and guided by compassion and integrity. We do not believe that leadership is a title, which you need to wait to be handed to you by someone else. We don’t believe leadership starts at a specific age, in a specific area, or with a specific level of education – leadership is something that can be instilled within every young adult.
