I discovered my passion for Analytics +15 years ago while working at an international Chicken Producing Company. I started in an admin role and was then promoted to Analyst. My main achievement there was to lead a 2-year project to speed up the decisions of the live production department. The project consisted on the transition of handwritten reports from remote locations to an on-line system. This changed the way the company made decisions and expedited the flow of data from 7 days to one day! In 2008, I decided to quit my dream job to come to Canada and pursue another life dream. Once settled, I started a non-for-profit and a family owned IT consulting firm with my husband. In 2018, I enrolled in the BCIT Applied Data Analytics Certificate. I graduated in Dec 2021. In the summer of 2021, I also completed an internship with the UN in the Office of Information and Communications Technology Department. A once in a lifetime opportunity that ignited, even more, my passion for data visualizations, dashboards, and data storytelling. As an intern, I developed a series of statistics and compliance dashboards for airplane carriers. This project is part of a platform called Go Travel, which is a program to combat antiterrorism around the world. There, I had the opportunity to literally, “dashboard” the world. After my internship, I was invited to apply for a job at the UN in Vienna. However, life had other plans for me. I am currently settling in a DA role with Ritchie Bros. Financial Services, an international company that finances heavy equipment; best known for its extraordinary culture and people.My strengths lay around leveraging technology to transform the organizations I works for. I am very creative and I am always looking for innovation opportunities. I am a lifetime learner who enjoys challenges and thrives in fast-paced environments.I perform at my best in value-based organizations where collaboration and teamwork are fostered. I am always in the look out for data-centered organizations. I can take advantage of my technical and soft skills to support strategic decisions and contribute to the different departments of the organization.
