I’m currently an Assistant Planner with the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). In this role, I’m responsible for a range of administrative tasks, such as managing meeting logistics, providing technical support, writing meeting minutes, maintaining mailing lists, and preparing and posting meeting agendas and materials to the MPO calendar. In addition to my administrative tasks, I have supported work in the Boston Region MPO's Climate Resilience and Air Quality Program, including municipal technical assistance, public engagement efforts, data and geospatial analysis, report writing, and others. I earned a B.A. from Boston University in Environmental Analysis and Policy with a minor in Remote Sensing and GIS in May 2024, where I learned about the social and institutional framework in which environmental and natural resource planning, management, and policymaking take place.During the spring of 2024, I interned with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection in the Bureau of Air and Waste's Mercury Program. In this internship, I maintained and updated data of mercury product disposal sites in Massachusetts, learned about recommended mercury clean-up and disposal methods, and conveyed information to the public by updating interactive maps of recycling collection sites, website, and outreach materials.In 2023, I held the position of Service Chair on the Executive Board of Epsilon Eta Pi Chapter at Boston University, a multi-gender environmental fraternity. I organized and executed 10+ service events per semester that allowed members to participate in volunteer opportunities, collaborated with local nonprofit organizations to plan events and fundraisers, and kept track of service hour requirements for 70+ members.In addition, I was a Research Assistant with Global Land Cover mapping and Estimation (GLanCE), a NASA MEaSURES project designed by Boston University. I used satellite imagery, Google Earth Engine, and qualitative and quantitative data analysis to assist in creating a data record of 21st century global land cover, land use and land cover change at 30m resolution.
