I'm taking skills I have learned and applying them to this industry. Building leadership skills while making our family's business profitable as well as competitve. On the side, I completed an NQA-1 course that has offered me the opportunity to see where the QA/QC programs fall into the mix, and also how my past experiences apply to the job field. I'm also working towards my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Company is a General Electric LLC, purchased in 2006. Identified, and root caused issues with current product, then implimented and followed thru with a solution to achieve the desired results. During the course of my tenure, I also helped with two New Product programs for GE Monogram. One of these refrigeration models was for domestic, one for International sales. Also conducted many projects for manufacturing cost reduction.

Instrumental in leading our plant to QS-9000 qualification in a year when our parent company moved the stamping operation to the Tennessee facility. In charge of all CMM prgramming as well as all documentation of the PPAP process (PFMEA, GR&R, Process flow, etc)according to APQP standards. I was also in charge of calibrating all hand tools, assembly and in-process part gages, and maintaining their records. Also received training from ASQ in methods and practices of QA and SPC.Also performed all material testing according to the ASTM standard.

Responsible for inspection methods and developing new methods for new designs. Also programmed measuring machines on both 2 and 3 dimensions. Frequently found myself moved to inspecion areas that were experiencing difficulty to try and help solve or eliminate those problems.

The Nuclear Construction & StartUp workshop cirriculum was developed with funding from the US NRC and technical support from the ASME.
